Meet Louise
Certified Nutritional Therapy Expert
I’m Louise Mitcheson, a registered Nutritional Therapist based in Bath, working with clients both in person and online.

People often find their way to me when they’re feeling stuck — tired, run down, or frustrated that despite trying “all the right things”, their health still doesn’t feel quite right. My role is to help you make sense of what’s going on and support you in moving forward in a way that feels manageable and sustainable.

How I work

I take a personalised, whole-person approach to health and weight loss. Rather than focusing on symptoms in isolation, I look at how diet, lifestyle, stress, sleep, and health history interact. This allows us to identify patterns and potential imbalances that may be contributing to how you feel.
I don’t believe in quick fixes or rigid plans. Instead, I work with you to:
-
Understand your health in context
-
Prioritise what will make the biggest difference
-
Introduce changes gradually, so they’re realistic and achievable

Why nutritional therapy matters to me

My interest in nutrition is shaped by both personal experience and professional training.

Growing up with lactose intolerance, I spent years feeling unsure around food. Like many people, I also experienced periods of yo-yo weight loss — trying different approaches without lasting results. Later, while working in a high-pressure role in London, I experienced burnout, with low energy and the sense of constantly running on empty.

These experiences led me to retrain and complete a degree in Nutritional Therapy at the University of West London, so I could better understand how nutrition, lifestyle, and health truly interact.

Since then, I’ve navigated further periods of high demand — studying, working full time, and becoming a mum. Those experiences reinforced what I already knew: that health needs to be flexible, supportive, and realistic, especially when life is full. This perspective underpins how I work with clients today.

Next Steps

If you’re unsure whether nutritional therapy is right for you, a free discovery call gives you the chance to talk things through and ask questions before committing to anything.
No pressure — just an opportunity to see if we’re a good fit.
Can I help you?
I specialise in supporting adults who want to improve their weight, energy levels, and metabolic health in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.

This may be right for you if you:
-
Have struggled with weight loss despite trying multiple approaches
-
Experience energy crashes, cravings, or blood sugar swings
-
Feel stuck in cycles of restriction, overeating, or yo-yo dieting
-
Want to lose weight without extreme rules or constant tracking
-
Are concerned about insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, or metabolic health
-
Want support that looks at nutrition, habits, lifestyle, and mindset together
My approach helps your body work with you, not against you — so changes feel achievable and lasting.

Low energy and fatigue
can stem from various factors. Understanding and addressing the root causes can significantly improve overall energy levels and wellbeing. Chronic fatigue and Fibromyalgia are very commonplace in the
UK today.

Weight is more than a
number, it is a complex relationship with our bodies, which can be very challenging. Whether you are obese, anorexic, or just unhappy with your weight then nutritional therapy
can help.

The Consultation Process
Pre-Consultation
During an optional complimentary 20 minute phone or zoom call you will have the opportunity to discuss your health concerns and to ask any questions that you have. These are bookable online here. Alternatively, if you would rather book a consultation without a discovery call, then you can use the contact form here. Next you choose which package best suits your needs. Once your first consultation date is confirmed you will receive a questionnaire to fill in, which will cover your goals, current symptoms, medical and family history, lifestyle and diet. You will also receive a three day food diary to complete. This information will be used to create your personalised timeline and form the basis of your nutritional plan.

Initial Consultation
The initial consultation will last approximately 80 minutes. In this time we will discuss your health concerns in more detail and I will gather further information related to the questionnaire and food diary. Through this questioning I will investigate the main underlying imbalances that could be contributing to your symptoms. Whilst discussing my findings with you, I will provide an overview of my recommendations and explain any supplement or testing that I feel would be of benefit (at your own cost).

Post Consultation
You will receive your full personalised plan within 48 hours of the consultation, along with any information sheets or recipes to support you with implementing your plan over the following weeks. The first follow up appointment will be arranged based on individual needs, but normally 3-4 weeks after the initial consultation. In this session we will review progress with your goals/symptoms and discuss any other new relevant information. Recommendations will be re-evaluated and a new plan will be created. All follow up consultations offer accountability and support on the road to reaching your goals. How many follow up consultations you need will be different for everyone and depend on the reason for your visit.
Where to find me
My practice is based in Weston Village, Bath. I also offer video consultations and consultations in your home - contact me for more details.
